Everything sounds great but I have yet to see a video or screenshot of anything in the game?

The current state of the game is unfinished, but a brief selection of gameplay video is shown on the about page.

*Edit* there used to be a video.  I’m not sure where it’s gone.

Right now the interface is unfinished, and it consists of a notebook held in your character’s left hand and an open world set in the fictional English village of Frampton Gurney and surrounding area.

The present map is definitely going to change so the final form is anyone’s guess, but the gameplay is supposed to be casual exploration and discovery.  It should be as casual or immersive as you desire, if all you want to do is pay with some virtual pets, that’s great.  But the creatures are all fully independent beings with their own thoughts, fears and desires.

I’m keenly looking forward to running cognitive tests and genetic experiments!

It is designed to be an emergent system, have you played any of the creatures series by chance?

At the home page “ https://phantasia.life “, there is a video embedded.
There is also a video instead of one blogpost “ https://youtu.be/S5qW7YxTI-k “.
You can also find a few videos on youtube, for example “ https://youtu.be/XuPCQ8Xbt_Q , but not if you search for “Phantasia”, search instead for the old name of this game “Grandroids”.

This is the most recent footage I can find when it was called grandroids.

I will take it upon myself to produce some screenshots showing the variation of the creatures.  It’s something that I’ve been meaning to do, but I’ve gotten wrapped up in other projects in the last couple of months.

Keep an eye out because I’ll be making an in depth post explaining the various heritable genes which govern the final appearance of our creatures.  Currently it is quite hard to get an idea of it as all creatures are generated from default genomes, so I imagine that even most of the old timers haven’t seen the various hairstyles and whatnot.

I plan to include lots of pictures!
