So, i’ve been away for a few months, and I’ve come back. I feel that new members might appreciate a current status update.
Prior to @steve experiencing some health troubles, the last I heard was that he was hard at work resolving menstruation and reproduction among the bollys. Since then I know that there has been significant work poured in to the third or fourth unity engine update since inception. I’m still planning on getting some screenshots of the various hairstyles available to us, but in the meantime we all will have to wait with bated breath.
I’m sure there will be something new and exciting in the not too distant future.

Yeah, every time I think I’m ready to post about what’s going on, something breaks and I have to focus on that, before I lose track of all the relevant information! I just haven’t had the bandwidth to post something meaningful and reply to comments at the same time as completely revamping my code to run on Unity 6, in a completely different renderer, with completely different graphics and a completely different way of handling the creatures. I feel swamped!
But my heart is very strong now, and I’m working away as hard as I can. If Unity would just stop trying to kill me for a little while, I’ll at least post some screenshots soon, ahead of a completely new build. The new build will be the first one where we all get to look after the very same population of creatures, so there’s a huge amount of server stuff involved and new game code. Mostly I’m just waiting until I have the rudiments of a new virtual world to keep them in, now. It’ll be worth the wait, but if I post a build or screenshots too soon, I’ll just get hundreds of people telling me the graphics look like crap. So, I’m taking the time I need.
